SKEW

Terms of Service.

This is the agreement between you and Skew. It covers what the service is, how you pay for it, who owns what, and how either of us ends the arrangement.

1. The service

Skew is a design tool. You type a brief; the tool generates a one-of-one artifact — a landing page, a pitch deck, or a brief. The tool runs on skew.site and any subdomain we own.

“Skew,” “we,” and “us” mean the entity operating the service. “You” means the person or company with an account.

2. Your account

You need an account to generate. You must be at least 18. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account.

One account per human. Sharing a single account across a team is not allowed; each seat needs its own.

3. Plans and payment

Skew offers three tiers:

  • Free — 3 generations per month across all types, cheap model, watermark on outputs. No card on file.
  • Flat ($29/month) — generations under a fair-use cap of 100 per month, stronger model, no watermark, push to GitHub, hosted outputs.
  • Founder+ ($39/month) — everything in Flat, plus the strongest model on pitch decks and briefs, a client research agent, and priority queue.

Paid plans renew monthly. You can change or cancel at any time from the billing page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax where applicable; tax is added at checkout.

4. Refunds

Paid-tier generations are one-of-one outputs produced on demand. We do not refund generations once they have been produced. If you cancel a paid plan mid-cycle, you keep access through the end of the paid period; we do not pro-rate refunds on the subscription fee.

If you were charged in error, or if the service was unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours in a billing cycle, email us and we will make it right.

5. What you own; what we keep

You own your output. Every landing page, deck, or brief you generate on a paid tier is yours to use, modify, publish, and sell. We do not claim ownership of the output itself.

We own the system. The design system, the prompts, the generation engine, the site, the wordmark, and every part of Skew that is not your specific output remain our intellectual property.

Anonymized showcase. We may display anonymized snapshots of outputs in case studies or marketing. Anonymized means we strip anything identifying you or your company. If you want your output excluded entirely, email us and we will remove it from the showcase pool.

6. Acceptable use

Your use of Skew is also governed by the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no illegal content, no impersonation, no harassment, no malware, no spam, no reselling our output as a competing service. Full rules are in the AUP.

7. Free-tier limits

The free tier is for evaluation. Outputs on the free tier carry a Skew watermark. You cannot use free-tier outputs for paid client work or publish them as-is on a commercial site. Upgrade to a paid tier before doing either.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate an account for violations of these Terms or the AUP, with notice where practical. On termination, you keep whatever outputs you already downloaded; hosted outputs on skew.site come down within 30 days.

9. Warranties; liability

Skew is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that outputs will be free of errors, or that outputs are fit for any particular purpose. Design review is your job before you ship.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County; both of us consent to that jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. When we do, we update the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes get a notice by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

12. Contact
