Acceptable Use.
Skew generates design artifacts at the direction of its users. This policy lists what the service may not be used to produce or distribute. It is a companion to the Terms of Service; violations are grounds for suspension or termination.
1. No illegal content
Do not use Skew to generate, promote, or distribute anything that is illegal under applicable law. That includes, without limiting the list:
- Child sexual abuse material. Zero tolerance, immediate termination, and referral to law enforcement.
- Content that incites imminent violence against a person or group.
- Material that infringes a third party’s intellectual property you do not have the right to use.
- Content that violates export control or sanctions law.
- Content that facilitates the sale of controlled substances, weapons, or human trafficking.
2. No deceptive impersonation
Do not use Skew to produce a landing page, deck, or brief that impersonates a real person, company, or public figure in a way designed to deceive the viewer. Satire and commentary are fine. Phishing pages, fake-brand lookalikes, and fraud assets are not.
Do not generate content that fabricates a quote from a real person and presents it as authentic without clear satirical framing.
3. No hate or harassment
Do not generate content that attacks, dehumanizes, or targets a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or similar protected characteristic.
Do not generate content designed to harass a specific individual, including but not limited to ex-partners, former employees, or public figures.
4. No malware or security abuse
Do not use generated HTML/CSS/JS as a carrier for malware, cryptocurrency miners, unauthorized tracking, or code that exploits a user’s browser without consent. Do not use the service to host or distribute payloads.
Do not probe Skew’s infrastructure for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure. Security research is welcome; send a responsible disclosure to security@skew.site before publishing.
5. No spam
Do not use Skew to generate pages, decks, or briefs at scale for SEO spam, content farms, deceptive marketing funnels, or bulk cold outreach with manufactured credibility.
6. No bulk exploitation of the platform
The paid tiers include a soft cap of 100 generations per month. That cap is a fair-use boundary, not a performance benchmark to test. Do not:
- Automate generation via multiple coordinated accounts to exceed a single plan’s cap.
- Resell or sublicense access to generation endpoints.
- Scrape outputs from hosted pages at rates designed to overwhelm our infrastructure.
Legitimate high-volume use cases exist. If yours is one, email sales@skew.site and we will price a plan that fits.
7. No reselling Skew output as a competing service
You may use outputs for your own product, your clients, and your publications. You may not wrap Skew generations in a thin front-end and resell the generation experience as a competing design-automation product. Doing so breaches these Terms and the AUP.
8. AI-specific rules
The generated output is produced by a large language model. That introduces a few extra rules:
- No attempt to extract the system. Do not submit briefs designed to exfiltrate the internal prompts, model parameters, or routing logic that produces outputs.
- No jailbreak-as-a-service. Do not use Skew as a conduit to produce content that would be refused by the model’s safety policy.
- No claims of human authorship. Outputs are generated. If you publish an output under your own name, you are representing that you directed and reviewed it, not that a human drew it pixel by pixel. Do not claim otherwise in contexts where authorship matters.
- No use for high-stakes decisions. Outputs are design artifacts. Do not use a Skew-generated brief as a substitute for medical, legal, or financial advice.
9. Consequences
Minor or unintentional violations get a notice and a chance to correct. Repeated or severe violations result in suspension or termination without refund. Violations involving law enforcement matters (CSAM, imminent threats) get reported to the relevant authorities.
10. Reporting
If you believe a Skew-hosted page or output violates this policy, email abuse@skew.site with a link and a short description. We review every report.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes get a notice by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
